Ultra performance. Brochure

Speed equals value - Integrated X ray scanners are a vital part of today’s efficiency driven production flows. Delivering consistent quality control on high-speed production lines is crucial to product integrity. The challenge is always how fast can this be achieved without compromising quality.
Accelerate throughput
In a world where speed is a crucial part of the production equation, the new Ultra Performance tube pushes the limits of what is possible. Thanks to its increased power load it allows for shorter exposure times to deliver higher throughput and high uptime while still maintaining excellent image quality.
Fast implementation
Because it is based on the familiar HP11, with the same design and footprint, the UP it can be implemented into a production line without an efficiency slow-down – same day, same shift with no downtime. Standards are written around the HP11, so there’s no need to apply for lengthy approvals.
"Creating the Ultra Performance, we wanted to increase production-line efficiency by increasing the power load and dose stability - and nothing on the market delivers the power and speed as the Ultra Performance module"
Marcel Odermatt, Ultra Performance Product Manager
1. Speed and throughput by getting details faster
Get shorter exposure and increased speed thanks to an increased power load and new anode target topology. Excellent image quality with sealed metal ceramic X-ray tube and ultra- fast implementation into your production line. The UP is also ideal for raising the speed limit of your existing solution with its increased nominal power load compared to an identical non-UP product.
2. Ultra-easy to use
Low maintenance costs mean lower total cost of ownership - and faster throughput with easy operation reduces the need for manpower. New anode target topology allows one setting for all operation modes with reduced power for cycling operation with longer exposure times. Get continuous operation without stopping for routine maintenance. Robust and stable sealed X-ray tube design enables hassle-free integration and simple operation with easy-to-use WebUI interface.
3. Reliability and quality
Robust ergonomic sealed design with a maintenance free tube allows operation in oily, dirty environments without loss of performance. Dose stability reduces decay over time for a longer lifetime. Depending on usage parameters, failure can be determined in advance of operation for predictive maintenance that fits your workflow.
Typical applications
A single defect in the aircraft structure, metal, or composite material can result in catastrophic failure - that’s why quality control in the aerospace industry is paramount.
Comet X-ray modules enable reliable and fast detection of those failures.
- Quality control of parts for aircraft and space vehicles
- Identification of structural defects
- Turbine blade inspection
- Maintenance of aircrafts

As industrial components continue to reduce in size, X-ray inspection is crucial for detecting microscopic defects across a range of applications, from materials science to electronics failure analysis to biological samples. At the same time, obtaining high-quality data as quickly as possible so users can spend more time analyzing their data and producing actionable insights is also critical. This calls for high-power X-ray output and a stable, high-resolution beam. The FXE-160 Nano CT can rapidly examine sub-micron defects across a wide range of lab applications by leveraging external cooling and higher resolution.
